In this live online session, we unpack the first wave of climate-related financial disclosures in Australia in terms of what the reports reveal, and practical learnings you can apply for your next disclosure.

With Australia's mandatory sustainability reporting (ASRS) regime now well underway, Group 1 entities are lodging their first disclosures under AASB S2 in 2026, with Group 2 and Group 3 entities to follow in 2027 and 2028 respectively. These early reports are surfacing valuable insights about the approaches organisations are taking toward credible climate disclosure.

Following a popular Melbourne networking event, we're bringing the session online. Dr Arne Geschke, one of Australia's leading experts in supply chain emissions modelling and Scope 3 reporting, will present Fair Supply's analysis of the first wave of published reports. He'll be joined by Liam Brizee,  Fair Supply’s Head of Customer Success, who will share early audit and assurance findings and practical lessons from working alongside reporting entities on the ground.

What you'll learn

  • What the first wave of Australian Sustainability Reports reveal
  • How Group 1 reporters can sharpen their approach and benchmark against peers
  • What Group 2 and 3 entities need to be doing now to build credible reporting foundations
  • What early audit and assurance reviews are flagging
  • Practical lessons from the field: building emissions inventories, conducting scenario analysis, and operationalising the disclosure process

Who should attend

This session is designed for senior leaders and professionals across Group 1, 2 and 3 reporting cohorts who are responsible for sustainability reporting, including ESG and sustainability, risk and compliance, finance, and procurement and sourcing teams.
