Australia’s Sustainability Reporting Act introduces mandatory climate-related disclosures for organisations that meet the relevant thresholds. For entities preparing to report for the first time, the immediate challenge is understanding what is required, when it applies, and how the different elements of the reporting framework fit together.

This webinar provides a high-level overview of Australia’s sustainability reporting regime, with a focus on the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS). We will explain how the standards are structured, how they work alongside the Corporations Act, AASB S2, as well as other voluntary reporting frameworks used in Australia. We will also cover practical next steps for reporting entities. The session is designed to help organisations orient themselves before moving into detailed implementation.

Drawing on Fair Supply’s experience working with ESG, sustainability, risk and compliance teams, we will also highlight how reporting expectations intersect with emissions data, data governance, and supply chain visibility into emissions exposure.

What we’ll cover

  • Who needs to report and how the reporting thresholds apply at a high level
  • When reporting applies, including key timelines and transition arrangements
  • A high-level walkthrough of the four pillars of the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards: governance, strategy, risk management, and metrics and targets
  • Where Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions sit within the reporting framework
  • How to start building the foundations of effective and scalable data collection, management and governance

Who this session is for
This session is designed for first-time reporting entities under the ASRS, particularly sustainability, ESG, finance, risk and compliance teams seeking clarity on the overall reporting structure and a practical entry point to begin reporting. Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of the reporting landscape and how to sequence their next actions.

Can’t attend live?
Register anyway and we’ll send you the resources after the session.
