Meet the Speakers

Dr Arne Geschke
Fair Supply’s Co-Founder & CDO
Dr Arne Geschke contributes over ten years of experience working in in-depth supply-chain assessment and economic modelling. Arne is a leading expert in the field of large-scale global environmental-economic supply-chain assessments and input-output analysis with a focus on environmental applications such as carbon accounting and energy policy. He has been instrumental in developing detailed global supply-chain databases and FairSupply’s underlying mathematical framework. He previously worked for BMW and GM in mathematical engine simulation before beginning his academic career in Australia. Having developed his skill set in the academic and professional worlds alike, Arne bridges the gap between cutting-edge methodological advancements in supply-chain analysis and applicability in an enterprise environment. Arne holds a PhD in Environmental Impact Analysis and Economic Modelling from The University of Sydney, prior to which he completed a Master of Industrial Mathematics at the University of Hamburg, Germany and the University of Bath, UK.
Serena Grant
Director of Business and Human Rights, Walk Free, Minderoo Foundation
Serena is a lawyer and human rights advocate who leads Walk Free’s work engaging the private sector to end modern slavery. Serena works alongside businesses, investors and governments to improve supply chain practices and strengthen laws. This includes overseeing Walk Free’s role as Secretariat of the Bali Process Government and Business Forum, partnerships with Investors Against Slavery and Trafficking and Walk Free’s impact investing portfolio.
Adam Levine
Partner, K&L Gates
Adam Levine has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions and capital markets. He advises on a broad range of commercial matters, including equity capital markets, takeovers and schemes of arrangement, business sales and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, foreign investment regulation and general corporate advisory work. Some of his work has involved complex, high-profile cross-jurisdictional transactions, co-coordinating legal teams in different Australian states and abroad. Adam is also a strong supporter of start-ups and has acted for numerous start-up ventures. While focusing on corporate issues, Adam also plays an active role in ensuring access to justice for those less fortunate in the community and proudly heads the firm's pro bono practice in Perth.
Ben Kiernan-Green
Senior Associate, Corporate/M&A, K&L Gates
Ben is a senior associate in the Corporate/M&A team in Perth. He is experienced advising clients across a broad range of industries in relation to mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring, foreign investment, private equity, venture capital, debt financing as well transactions in the resources space (such as joint ventures, tenement acquisitions/disposals and royalties). Ben also regularly provides governance and structuring advice to sporting bodies and associations, ranging from the grass-roots community level to peak bodies in Western Australia. He also serves as a tribunal member for a number of sporting organisations. Ben is also a strong contributor to the firm's pro bono practice and plays an active role in ensuring access to justice is available for those less fortunate in the Australian community.
