The Australian Government has released its consultation paper, Strengthening Australia's response to modern slavery in supply chains, proposing a new criminal offence for failing to prevent modern slavery, alongside new enforcement powers.

Fair Supply is preparing a submission on these proposals, and we want it to reflect the practical realities facing Australian businesses. We believe reform should protect vulnerable workers while remaining practical and proportionate for businesses to implement.
